Homeless Hands that Help

Homeless Hands that Help
Posted February 2nd, 2014 @ 10:51am

Recently at a United Way campaign update meeting, Richie Rinehart spoke about his work at the Men's Homeless Shelter. He has established a program called "Homeless Hands that Help" to assist these men. City residents may contact the shelter and hire one or more of the homeless men for a job. It can be a wide variety of jobs such as raking leaves, shoveling snow, or cleaning out a garage. Shelter staff will provide transportation to and from the job and will work with the resident and the worker to agree on a donation amount for the job. A minimum of 10% will go directly to the shelter while the rest of the donation goes to the worker. If you would like to hire a worker from "Homeless Hands that Help", please contact Richie Rinehart at (740) 804-7217.
