Two seniors on the Circleville High School football team face charges for making a cellphone-recorded sex video with a 14-year old girl.
The boys, ages 17 and 18, are charged as juveniles with pandering obscenity involving a minor.
"The sexual act was consensual, not the videotaping," said Pickaway County Assistant Prosecutor Heather Armstrong. "The female was not aware that she was being recorded."
The video was brought to the attention of police by school officials last month. An assistant football coach reported it after one of the players overheard teammates talking about it.
Armstrong said it doesn't appear that the video was shared with anyone.
The school is investigating the incident now that police have wrapped up their investigation.
The boys face possible time in juvenile detention or probation. Labeling the boys as sex offenders is not required under the law.
Armstrong wasn't aware if the boys had been removed from the football team. A call to the Circleville City Schools wasn't immediately returned.
