More discussion ensued on the proposed 0.2% city streets tax levy, which was at first reading. 

Bill Bonner said he was told by "paving people" that the five-year repaving goal is very feasible, and it could be done at about a rate of one mile every 10 days. 

Finance chair Tom Trutschel saw an ordinance pass for a retirement of the city's electrician, which was unexpected.  Though the ordinance appropriated $42,000 for it, he said that's normal, if not less than average. 

Council will meet in a legislative and review session next Monday, focusing on the budget.
