Sheriff Lavender reports that his office responded to the 1st Stop Gas Station in Bainbridge shortly after 7:00 pm Monday in reference to an armed robbery.

Deputies arrived and spoke to an employee who reported that a male came into the store wearing a mask over his face and a pistol in the front of his pants and demanded money.

The male was described as being about 6’2" wearing jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. The suspect got an unknown amount of cash and was reported to have left the store and headed west on foot.

At the time of the report, investigators were still on the scene processing evidence. Further details will be released as they become available.
