Study on Three Locks Road Bridge Replacement
Posted August 24th, 2014 @ 9:26am

As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation - District 9’s Planning & Engineering Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input on the following proposed project in Ross County.

It is proposed to replace the structure over Indian Creek on Three Locks Road in Scioto Township. The existing structure is a 48-foot concrete arch, and it will be replaced with a single span, pre-stressed concrete I-beams on semi-integral abutments.

No new right of way will be needed for the project, and no homes or businesses will be removed. Small trees and bushes will be removed as part of the project; however, none of the trees have the habitat for the federally endangered Indiana bat.

Additional information regarding the project, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at their ODOT website.

Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.

Written comments should be submitted by September 3rd, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to: Greg Manson, ODOT District 9 Environmental Supervisor P.O. Box 467; 650 Eastern Avenue, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 E-Mail: greg.manson@dot.state.oh.us
