There were several items on the agenda at Waverly Village Council Tuesday night. Scott Tackett was approved as grounds keeper and Ryan Williams was named to a lead water operator position. There was also a meeting between Mayor Greg Kempton and ODOT to eliminate high traffic through the area. As of June 1st, the village's health insurance will see some adjustments with out of pocket cost going up. A special meeting has been set for next Tuesday to discuss these changes.

There was a scuffle between Councilman Forest Blakeman over the Veterans Memorial Park's lack of funds for upkeep accusing the mayor of "having little patriotism". Mayor Greg Kempton responded by saying "I did not realize that I was not patriotic, there was just not enough money".
