A woman who reported that her 3-year-old son had gone missing from a Cleveland park has been convicted of aggravated murder, gross abuse of a corpse and other charges.

A Cuyahoga County jury on Friday found 21-year-old Camilia Terry guilty on nine charges. Common Pleas Judge Janet Burnside set sentencing Dec. 19 for Terry, who could face life in prison.

The Plain Dealer reports that prosecutors said Terry had never wanted the little boy Emilliano. She has two other children.

His body was found at a trash transfer station after she had reported him missing last year. She denied killing him.

Defense attorney Richard Drucker says the defense team is very disappointed in the verdict, and that an appeal is likely.
