(Washington, DC) -- The U.S. Postal Service is proposing a three-cent hike in prices for first class stamps. That would put the price on mailing a letter at 49-cents at of January 1st. It would generate two-billion-dollars in revenue for the troubled agency. Officials had also recently talked about putting an end to Saturday service in cost cutting moves.
