A Fayette County woman has been indicted on charges related to the death of an inmate at the Fayette County Jail. Tiara Adams died on June 13th of 2016 from a drug overdose while being housed in the jail.
The Record Herald in Washington Court House reports that a Fayette County Grand Jury indicted Meesha Pettiford for involuntary manslaughter in Adams' death.
The Record Herald quotes Sheriff Vernon Stanforth alleging that Pettiford smuggled the drugs that killed Adams into the Jail.
