Chillicothe Receives Grant to Re-Launch Curbside Recycling

The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded a quarter-million dollar Community Development grant to re-launch curbside recycling in Chillicothe. Statewide, Ohio EPA is awarding $1.5 million in grant funding to assist local governments with recycling. 

The state has awarded $5 million in grants this year. Funding comes from a fee on construction and demolition debris and 50 cents from every new tire.

The state has also announced several smaller Litter Management Grants including $2000 dollars for Ross County Litter Control & Recycling and 25,000 dollars for the Athens Hocking Solid Waste District.
