SSCC Works to Open Adams County Campus

Southern State Community College, serving students in Fayette, Highland, Brown, and Clinton counties, is working to bring a full-scale campus to Adams County.

"We're just kind of finalizing some plans with that and we look forward to establishing a foothold there," said Kevin Boys, president of Southern State Community College.

Boys said Southern State also offers a post-secondary option for students in high school.

"We do a lot of work out in our local high schools where we offer college-level courses on high school campuses," Boys said. "All the way from right here in our territory, we'll go as far north as Pickerington Schools in Columbus."

He stated Southern State associates degrees were awarded, this year, to 39 graduating high school seniors who completed post-secondary work.
