CCI Transport Van and Cruiser Crash at Crouse Chapel

The Highway Patrol reported Sunday a two-vehicle injury crash on US 23 that involved law enforcement. 

Near the intersection of Crouse Chapel Road north of Chillicothe, 37-year-old officer Kelli L. Radcliff of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was southbound in a 2013 Ford Explorer Sheriff Cruiser where she struck a 2011 Chillicothe Correctional Institute transport van in the rear.

The driver of the van, 39-year-old Corrections Officer Christopher H. Bice of Jackson, drove off the right side of the roadway, while Radcliff drove off the left. 

Bice had a passenger, 26-year-old Corrections Officer Benjamin S. Howard of Minford, and Radcliff had a passenger, 23-year-old Brittany A. Atchison of Wellston.

Radcliff and Atchison sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Green Township EMS. Radcliff was later taken to Grant Medical Center by Medcare Ambulance.

Bice was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Pickaway Township EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Howard received only minor injuries and was not transported.
