Identities of Those Killed in 4th of July Shootings Announced

The identities of two men fatally shot in a 4th of July shooting spree in Ross and Highland Counties have been released.

Three people were shot at two separate homes on Brown Chapel Road and Rapid Forge Road in Ross County. A fourth victim was fatally shot at a home in Highland County.

According to the Ross County Sheriff's Office, Paul Robertson, 79, of Clarksburg, was identified as the person shot and killed at the home on Brown Chapel Road. A second person in the home, Dawn Wilson, 67, of Clarksburg, was treated and released from a local hospital.

A third victim, Jesse Lytle, 23, of Highland County, is listed in serious condition after suffering a gunshot wound at a home on Rapid Forge Road.

The 4th victim, Steven Mottie, Jr., 35, was fatally shot at a home on Ford Avenue in Highland County.

The suspect in the shootings, Jeffery Holsinger, 31, of Greenfield, was apprehended in Franklin County, Tuesday evening.

The motive behind the shootings remains under investigation.
