Chillicothe Police, Pickaway Sheriff Receive Community Relations Funding


Two local law enforcement agencies and a youth mentoring organization are among the recipients of grant funding from the Office of Criminal Justice Services.

In total, 20 state law enforcement agencies and community organizations will receive up to $40,000 in the second round of Community-Police Relations to assist with initiatives to improve relationships between communities and law enforcement agencies serving them.

The Chillicothe Police Department has been selected to receive $40,000. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office will be awarded $8,000. Big Brother Big Sister of South Central Ohio will receive slightly more than $16,534.
