'The Four: Battle For Stardom' Renewed for Season 2

It's been an intense first season of The Four: Battle For Stardom. The competition has never been so fierce on a singing competition series before, but the winner has been in named, and it is Memphis-born, soulful singer Evvie McKinney.

But just when you thought it was over, it's only just beginning. The Four: Battle For Stardom has officially been renewed for season two! 

Although not yet confirmed, according to Deadline, panelists Diddy, DJ Khaled and Meghan Trainor are expected to be back next season, and it appears Fergie will host. In a video on social media, the singer says, "Hey guys, what's up? It's Fergie. Guess what? We'll be back for season two!"

The Four has shaken up the singing competition show space in a big way with its unique format. The show starts off with four finalists, and throughout the season, they will defend their seats on The Four from challengers who are determined to take their place. During the finale, the final Four face off against each other, and the last artist standing is the winner.

In the case of this first season, it was 20-year-old Evvie McKinney, who came on the show as a challenger during the second to last episode, and managed to earn a seat on The Four. And, after impressing the panel and everyone watching in just a short amount of time, she won a recording contract with Republic Records, will be backed by the stars on the panel, and will become iHeartRadio's next On The Verge Artist.

The Four has become Fox's highest rated new unscripted series in four years. So, break out the popcorn, and get ready for season two!
