Elderly Swimmer Notches 2 World Records

It's no stroke of luck that Australian George Corones owns two world records after last week.  The BBC reports the swimmer clocked 56-point-one-two seconds in the 50-meter swim in Queensland.  Corones  later beat the 100-meter freestyle record by a minute.  Exceptional marks, especially for a man who's 99-years-old.  He earned the world records in the 100- to 104-year-old age category because he'll turn 100 in April.  Corones said he gave up competing when World War Two broke out, and didn't get back into the competitive pool until about 20 years ago. His training regimen consists of swimming laps three times a week and going to a gym.

Corones says it takes a while to get going, and he gets tired more easily, but the reward is astronomical if done sensibly.
