Three Injured in Monday Morning Traffic Accident


The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle injury crash that occurred on Rozelle Creek Road at Mt. Tabor Road in Ross County at approximately 9am.


A CR-V driven by 72-year-old Charles Lowry of Chillicothe, was traveling westbound on Rozelle Creek Road when it was struck in the right side by a pick-up truck operated by 42-year-old Kelly Hughes of Chillicothe. 


Hughes failed to stop at a stop sign as Lowry was continuing onto Mt. Tabor Road. Lowry’s passenger, 72-year-old Patricia Maynard of Chillicothe, was also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.


Lowry and Hughes received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Huntington Township EMS. Patricia Lowry was transported to Grant Medical Center by MedFlight where her condition is unknown at this time.
