Crowning of Queen & Court Kicks Off 2018 Feast of the Flowering Moon

Chillicothe's Feast of the Flowering Moon kicked off for the weekend on Thursday with the annual crowning of the Feast and Teen Queens.


Miss Feast of the Flowering Moon 2018 is Huntington High School's Phoebe Cockrell. Emilee Wilson of Zane Trace High School was awarded 1st Attendant Whitney Wilson of Huntington High School awarded 2nd Attendant.


This year's Teen Queen is Makhia Tyler of Southeastern Middle School. Teen Queen 1st Attendant was awarded to Mandi Bolles of Unioto Middle School. Teen Queen 2nd Attendant went to Madison Dingess of Chillicothe Middle School.



For this years Feast of the Flowering Moon Princess Pageants there were four categories of winners.


In the Baby Miss Pageant it was Marissa Gallagher winning Queen with Autumn Mitchell as Baby Miss 1st Attendant and Julez Moody as 2nd Attendant.


For the Petite Miss Pageant, Emelia Sever claiming Queen with Petite Miss 1st Attendant going to Abigail Vest and Ava McAbee as 2nd Attendant.


The title of Queen for the Little Miss Pageant went to Candie Jo Mae Ward with Faith Prohel as her 1st Attendant. Little Miss 2nd Attendant was awarded to Kali Ward.


Finally, for the Junior Miss Pageant, it was Taylor Hardesty winning Queen with Avery Cox as 1st Junior Miss Attendant and Adrianna Thornton claiming 2nd Attendant.



The Feast runs through 6:00 p.m. Sunday in Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park.

Feast goers can enjoy Native American drummers, dancers and crafters along with a Mountain Man Encampment, arts & crafts, continuous entertainment, and their favorite festival foods.
