Ohio Dept. of Disabilities Employee Indicted for Theft in Office


An employee with the Ohio Department of Disabilities has been indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury on charges including theft in office.


The Ohio Inspector General issued a report of investigation Monday, July 10th after investigating a complaint received from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (ODODD) alleging Human Management Capital Analyst Tiffany Diggs posted fraudulent hours to another employee’s payroll and diverted the money to her personal bank account.   


Tiffany Diggs, 47, of Blacklick, was responsible for processing payroll and employee benefits for all ODODD employees. A joint investigation conducted with the Ohio Department of Taxation determined that Diggs improperly accessed and tampered with another employee’s timekeeping records for 17 pay periods and diverted $38,515.44 to her personal bank account for hours she did not work.


Diggs has been indicted for theft in office, tampering with records, and filing a false or fraudulent tax return.
