Charges are pending following a discovery of illegal drugs during the execution of a search warrant, Friday.
According to Chillicothe Police Captain Ron Meyers, detectives with the Chillicothe Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol served a search warrant at upstairs apartment #1 799 Eastern Avenue shortly before 2:00 p.m. Friday.
Two individuals were detained. Dominque Brown, 25, of Chillicothe, was stopped leaving the residence as SWAT Team members approached. Dajohn Barnes, 22, of Columbus was found inside the residence.
Captain Meyers says the search yielded approximately 6 ounces of suspected heroin, 350 Oxycodone pills, approximately 1-ounce of suspected Carfentanyl, and #3,600 in cash. A kilo press was also discovered inside the home and seized.
The drugs are awaited lab analysis. Meyers says charges will be filed.
