Ohio Severe Storm Season Approaches With Start of Spring

With Spring arriving March 20th, we are reminded of how severe storm season is also upon us in Ohio.

Ross County Emergency Management Director Paul Minney says basements under your home or business are recommended places to seek shelter. If you are in a vehicle when the storm approaches, try to get to a ditch or low-lying area.

Minney also says there are several ways we can get alert notices of pending storms and severe thunderstorms. There are weather apps through the National Weather Service and some weather networks that can also be downloaded to your smartphone that can alert you of coming dangerous weather.
