A Circleville couple was injured in a two vehicle crash on U.S. Route 23 in Ross County, Wednesday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred near Blackwater Road at approximately 9:30pm, when a Jeep driven by 20-year-old Christian Grieshehimer of Chillicothe struck a car driven by 63-year-old Larry Scott of Circleville, forcing both southbound vehicles to travel into the median and then into the northbound lanes of travel. The car overturned and came to rest partially in the left lane of US 23 northbound, while the Jeep came to rest in the left lane of US 23.

Griesheimer was not injured as a result of the crash. Scott and his passenger, 56-year-old Janet Scott, were extricated from the vehicle and transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for serious injuries.
