Chamber Teams With Ohio University Chillicothe for Community Survey

With the help of an Ohio University Chillicothe business management class, the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce is conducting a survey of its membership. But the Chamber doesn’t want to stop there. It’s also reaching out to former members and the community to improve its services as well as survey community needs.

“The hallmark of any great organization is to collect feedback and analyze data to find areas of improvement,” said Mike Throne, president, and CEO of the Chamber. “This survey will help us collect quality data, and we’d really like the community’s help to get the best possible response.”

A membership survey was soft-launched Friday and will be sent once again this week, while former members will also receive an email solicitation this week. The survey was designed by students for two months in Tanya Hire’s Applied Management course at Ohio University. The data will be collected and analyzed by the class in a presentation.

Hire’s classes have also done work for the Heroin Partnership Project (now known as Hope Partnership Project). “Tanya and her students are a godsend to the Chamber,” said Throne. “Their work so far has been stellar. They’ve listened to what we needed, made their own suggestions, and helped us craft a survey we believe will give us the best possible data.”
