New Proposal Would Automatically Register Ohioans to Vote

(Columbus, OH) -- A new proposal from Ohio's Secretary of State would register all citizens to vote but give them the option to opt-out. Secretary of State Frank LaRose said residents would be able to then update their information anytime they interact with a state agency.

"They key is that all of that same information you need to get a driver's license or to pay your taxes or to get a fishing license -- it's the same basic information that we need to register you to vote or keep you updated," said LaRose.

Secretary of State LaRose said that this is the easiest way to avoid voter fraud in the Buckeye State.
