Madison County Traffic Stop Yields 33 LBS of Marijuana

A Maryland man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in Madison County.

According to the State Highway Patrol, troopers stopped a 2012 Honda Accord shortly after 2:30 last Wednesday, April 24th on I-70.

A police canine alerted to the vehicle and a subsequent search revealed 33 pound of marijuana.

The driver, Jeb McWade, 36, of Lincoln Park,MD, has been charged with third-degree felony possession of marijuana. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
