Nighttime Work Set To Begin For Main Street Paving in Hillsboro

-

With construction underway on U.S Route 50/Main Street in the city of Hillsboro, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will move into the next phase of the project and begin working during the overnight.

-

Crews from John R. Jurgensen are resurfacing Main Street from the western corporation limit near Fenner Road to the eastern corporation limit at Woodlawn Drive.

-

Moving into the next phase of construction, which will include milling and paving, crews will be working during the evening and overnight hours, from approximately 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day as weather permits.

-

Nighttime operations will begin tonight, May 9, and this phase of the project should be completed by the end of May. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained by flaggers when crews are at work, and while the nighttime work should minimize the overall impact to traffic, motorists may experience some periods of delay.

-

The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for $1,305,309 to pave U.S. 50, and all work is scheduled to be completed in early summer.
