Ross County Grand Jury Indicts Pair in May Incident at ER Parking Lot

In Ross County, two people were indicted for an incident that occurred in the Adena ER parking lot, May 17th. Officials with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office say Adena Police responded to the scene where a victim reported finding Ashley Hammond, 34, of Beaver, in the victim's car and then being approached by Chad Johnson, 44, of Frankfort, who was reportedly holding suspected stolen items, such as a license plate. Officials say Johnson ran from the Adena Police and told them he had a gun; he was arrested that evening.

Hammond was indicted for grand theft, while Johnson was indicted for aggravated robbery.

A Chillicothe man was indicted on multiple drug-related felony counts, Friday. Officials with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office say Terell Nesbitt, 18, was in a home on Hirn Street during a February search warrant by Chillicothe Police. Authorities reportedly found more than 52 grams of heroin, 11 grams of meth, and 5 grams of fentanyl in the kitchen and two handguns in the living room.

Nesbitt was indicted on 8 counts including: two counts of having weapons under disability, two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, as well as trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin.

Additionally, Nesbitt was issued a two-count indictment for aggravated possession stemming from an April 17th traffic stop in which police allegedly found Nesbitt with more than 5 grams of meth and a gram of fentanyl.

Also indicted by the Ross County Grand Jury, Friday, was Cornell L. Holt, 38, of Chillicothe, for possession of cocaine. The indictment alleges Holt was found with 126.57 grams on April 30th.
