Reviving Ancient Hopewell Foods?

Tuesday, August 20th, hear the presentation "Harvest the Past, Feed the Future: Reviving Ancient Food Systems to Defeat Hunger in the Anthropocene.””

Archaeologist Paul Patton’s “will discuss the potential for growing and developing the pre-maize corn crops of the Adena and Hopewell as sustainable and nutritious, and the potential for entrepreneurship and economic development...while placing them in their prehistoric cultural context. 

The third presentation in the Robert L. Harness Lecture Series will begin 7pm at the Mound City Visitor’s Center of Hopewell Culture National Historical Park at 16062 State Route 104, north of Chillicothe. 

Doors open at 6:30 to share artifacts and ideas. Dr. Jeb Bowen will again be outside after 5 pm for friendly chats on archaeology and artifacts.
