Carnegie Public Library Preps for September Scarecrow Book Sale

The Carnegie Public Library in Washington CH is preparing for its upcoming Scarecrow Book Sale, scheduled to take place from Wednesday, September 18th to Saturday, September 21st.

A Community Day takes place on Wednesday the 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. That offers free admittance with a Carnegie library card. It’ll be $2.00 to get in without.

On Thursday and Friday, September 19th and 20th, a General Sale takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with all items priced at 50-cents each.

Then on Saturday the 21st, a Bargain Day Sale will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Readers will be able to fill a bag for $1.00.

The sale is co-organized by the Carnegie Public Library and The American Association of University Women. The proceeds raised will be split evenly between the two with the AAUW using the funds for its annual scholarship fund, and the library using the proceeds to purchase new materials for patrons.
