Hillsboro Police are issuing a reminder that Highland County’s countywide curfew for juveniles will go into effect on Tuesday, October 1st.

The curfew, for all persons under the age of 18, will be in effect through Thursday, October 31st. During that time, all juveniles under 18, are required to be off the streets and in their homes by 10:00 p.m. from Monday through Thursday, and then by midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, said Hillsboro Police.

Authorities said the curfew does not apply in cases of children that are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Exceptions are also made for minors attending church, school or employment activities.
