Pair Indicted for Trespassing into Scioto Woods Apartment

The Ross County Grand Jury returned all 23 of the cases presented, Friday; two were made public.

-

According to officials with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, the two open indictments stem for an incident involving Bradley Steele, 41, of Schaffer Road, and Samantha Brushart, 34, of Black Run Road, both in Huntington Township.

-

On January 21st, deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress in Scioto Woods Apartments off Western Avenue and reportedly saw the two exiting an apartment. Several neighbors stated that Steele tried to pull a screen off a window.

-

Brushart said the apartment was her mother's, but her mother said the two did not have any permission to be in it, said officials with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office. Deputies found damage to a door, but could not confirm if anything had been stolen.

Steele and Brushart were indicted for trespassing in a habitation, said officials with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office.
