Medicare Check-Up Day Workshops Planned for the Region

As Medicare open enrollment approaches, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Insurance are encouraging those on Medicare to review their prescription drug and health insurance options, to select a plan that best fits their needs and budget.

To help Medicare recipients select a plan, the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program will be hosting Medicare Check-Up Day events throughout the state from September through December. Representatives will help consumers compare and select a plan that meets their needs.

They’ll be at the Fayette County Commission on Aging from 12pm to 1pm on Tuesday, September 17th.

Representatives will then be at the Ross County Senior Center on Wednesday, September 25th from 11am to 1pm, and at the Pickaway County Senior Center on September 26th from 11am to 12pm.

Representatives will visit the Highland County Senior Center three times, with the first workshop from 1pm to 3pm on Friday, September 27th, then from 9am to 10am on October 15th, and from 9am to 3pm on November 19th.

Medicare Open Enrollment for the 2020 plan year starts October 15th and ends December 7th.
