Fisher Denied Early Parole by Ross County Judge

Ross County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Ater has denied a petition for early prison release by former Chillicothe High School Principal Jeffrey Fisher. The denial was entered into the Ross County Court docket, Wednesday.

Fisher was sentenced to two years in prison in January on charges of sexual battery, after allegations of sexual misconduct between Fisher and two former students.

His sentence came in opposition to a plea deal struck with prosecution, who had suggested community control rather than prison time, in exchange for an Alford plea from Fisher. Fisher's request early judicial release in June.

Ross County Prosecutor Jeff Marks, said a conference call on the matter was conducted on August 26th, but the early release denial was posted to the court docket September 18th.

The case began in 2017 when allegations of sexual misconduct with two now-former students against Fisher surfaced.
