Blue Lions Boy's Basketball Coach Placed on Administrative Leave

The Head Varsity Boy's Basketball Coach at Washington High School in Washington CH has been placed on administrative leave.

.

Washington School District Director of Marketing and Communications, Trevor Patton, confirmed to The Record Herald on Tuesday that Head Basketball Coach, Connor Scott, had been placed on leave from both his head coaching position and his position as physical education instructor, but declined to specify the exact reason, stating adherence to federal law and protocols. Patton told the Herald it was a private employment matter.

.

The move follows an unspecified incident that resulted in Coach Scott’s early exit from last Saturday’s boy’s varsity basketball game with Westfall.

.

Scott took over the school’s boy's basketball program in 2018. In the interim, the varsity boy’s program will now be co-coached by district Athletic Director Mark Bihl, and middle school math teacher Derrick Lyons.
