Sunday Night Winter Storm Fizzles Fast with Round 2 Coming

Round one of winter weather hit the region overnight with a couple of inches of snow, causing many area schools to be on delay Monday morning.

The Sunday night- Monday morning threat of freezing rain did not materialize for the most part and temperatures warmed up enough to prevent snow from accumulating to the 2-4 inches that National Weather service originally predicted.

Round two of snow and possibly freezing rain is expected late Monday night and early Tuesday as a Winter Weather Advisory kicks back in at 11pm through 10am Tuesday.
