Adena Goes to (3-0) in SVC With Big Win vs Huntington

Adena shot 60% from the field while holding Huntington to 25% in the Warriors 69-28 win in Frankfort. The win keeps the Warriors in a first place tie with both Zane Trace and Unioto, with the Pioneers and Shermans facing-off in a big SVC battle Saturday at Unioto on 94 Country WKKJ.

The Warriors never trailed, grabbing leads of 21-9 after the first quarter, 40-16 at halftime, 54-23 after three periods and 69-28 in the final.

Adena had four players in double figures, led by Cade McKee with14 points. Dillon McDonald and Brandon Smith each had 12 points and Logan Bennett with 11. All of Smith's dozen came via the three-point arc.

Huntington was led by Seth Beeler's 7 points, then 6 each from Gavin Free, Caleb Smith and Darius Brown.

Team stats show Adena shot 26/43 for 60%- including 12/21 from the arc and 6/13 from the foul line. Huntington was 8/32 from the field for only 25%- including 1/9 from the arc and 11/17 from the charity stripe. The Huntsmen committed 19 turnovers, mostly due to Adena's full-court press. The Warriors lost the ball 13 times. Adena won the rebounding battle 24-17.

Adena improves to (3-0/4-2) while the Huntsmen are now (0-3/1-4).
