Two Men Pronounced Dead at the Scene of Vinton County Crash

Two people lost their lives late Monday evening as the result of a single-vehicle crash in Vinton County.

According to the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the wreck was discovered at 6:14 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14th, but investigators believe the crash actually took place around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night.

The patrol says Kyle M. Stuller, 19, of Logan, had been traveling south along Goosecreek Road, about three miles north of Bray Hollow Road, when his 2010 Toyota Scion veered off the right side of roadway, striking a guardrail and a tree. The vehicle then continued down into Salt Creek where it came to rest.

Mr. Stuller and his front seat passenger, Cody E. Anderson, 20, of McArthur, were pronounced dead at the scene by Vinton County Coroner, Dr. Christina Kremer-Goodson.

The specific cause of the double-fatal crash remains under investigation.

That section of Goosecreek Road was closed for about four hours on Tuesday once the crash was discovered. In addition to the State Patrol, agencies assisting at the scene included the McArthur Fire Department, Vinton County E.M.S., the Ohio Investigative Unit, Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, and McDonald's Towing.
