Unioto Wins SVC Girls Basketball Title Game Over Southeastern

Unioto earned their third straight SVC girls basketball championship with a 47-37 win over Southeastern, running their record to (13-0/17-2). The loss dropped the Lady Panthers to (10-2/16-4), with both of their SVC losses to the Lady Shermans.

The win was also Unioto's 28th straight conference win, going back over three seasons. The Lady Shermans' have won back-to-back undisputed titles, after sharing the crown with Southeastern three years ago. Unioto has one game to win to gain the Gold Ball, while Southeastern has two conference games to play

After a 10-4 start, Unioto led by double digits for most of the game, although Southeastern did make a run, cutting what was a 17 point margin to 10, twice in the fourth quarter. Unioto led after each stop, 12-8, 29-12, 36-24 and the final of 47-37.

A big key for Unioto was outscoring Southeastern 17-4 in the second quarter.

Unioto's Emily Coleman and Cree Stulley each had 12 points to lead all scorers. Skylar Hice of Southeastern had 10 to lead the Lady Panthers.

Unioto shot 18/39 from the field for 46%- including 5/13 from behind the arc and were 6/7 from the foul line. The Lady Shermans had 12 turnovers and 20 rebounds.

Southeastern was 11/29 from the field for only 37%- including 1/5 from the arc and 14/19 at the foul line.
