Adena Girls Basketball Must Forfeit Tournament Game vs Westfall

A mistake in scheduling has led the Adena Lady Warriors basketball team to a tournament forfeit vs Westfall on February 10th. Adena High School officials failed to count their recent game against New Hope Christian, thinking it was a scrimmage and not an actual regular season game.

.

This means Adena girls have played 23 regular season games, which is one over the OHSAA limit of 22 games.

.

Even though Hope is not an OHSAA sanctioned school for tournament eligibility, the game had to be counted because fan admission was charged.

.

Westfall will advance to their next round game, which will be the sectional final in Jackson at 4:30pm on February 15th against the winner of North Adams vs Lucasville Valley.
