Operations Announcements for Fayette, Highland Counties

FAYETTE COUNTY:

The Carnegie Library in Washington Court House has announced that it will now be closed until at least April 6th.

The Fayette County Commission on Aging will be be closed until further notice. They are currently making phone calls to the Seniors who utilize its Congregate meals on a daily basis and offering to move them to the Meals on Wheels Program until the building is reopened. If you or a family member receive a Mid Ohio Food Bank Food Box they will be distributing those boxes tomorrow, Tuesday March 17th, 2020 from 9:30 am-noon, in a drive through manner only.

Tanger Outlets in Jeffersonville and Columbus is adjusting its hours of operation. The outlet will now only be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily until further notice.

HIGHLAND COUNTY:

The Highland Senior Center remains closed until further notice and all their special events are postponed.

Samaritan Outreach will be also be closed this week to allow for a restructure of its available services. It will reopen on Monday the 23rd as a drive-thru pantry by appointment only. To receive your regular food pantry or senior box services, you must place an order in advance to receive an appointment pickup time. Appointments can be made at ourpantry.org or at 937-393-2220.

The Highland County Veterans Service Office has suspended walk-in services until further notice. All services will be by appointment only, which can be scheduled at 937-393-8686. Transportation services are also suspended except in cases of absolute need. Call the office for full details.
