Real ID Deadline Extended to October 1, 2021

24/7 News Source -- The Trump Administration is extending the REAL ID deadline by one year due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Department of Homeland Security has determined a twelve-month delay is required, making the new deadline October 1, 2021. In a statement, Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf said the response to the spread of the coronavirus in the U.S. "necessitates a delay in this deadline." He added that the department wants to "remove any impediments to response and recovery efforts."
