California Man Charged in Madison County Drug Find

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed a felony drug charge against a California man after a traffic stop in Madison County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 592 pounds of THC infused products of marijuana worth approximately $2.5 million.

On the morning of June 15, troopers stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe with California registration for a marked lanes violation on Interstate 70. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed the contraband.

The driver, 28-year-old Frank Tatick of Los Angeles, was incarcerated in the Tri-County Jail and charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony.

If convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
