Five people, including a child, were seriously hurt in a Pickaway County crash late Saturday afternoon on U.S. Route 23.
The Pickaway County Sheriff reports that a high speed crash occurred at approximately 5:25pm near Pittsburgh Road and Pilot Truck Stop..
A Honda Ridgeline was driving north on Route 23 while a Toyota Corolla was southbound on 23. The driver of the Corolla tried to cross over U.S. 23, striking the Ridgeline.
Two people in the Ridgeline were injured and the driver was transported to Ohio Health Berger Hospital and later flown to Grant Medical Center in serious condition. The passenger was flown to Grant and was in serious condition.
Three people in the Corolla were seriously injured, with the driver being taken to Grant Medical Center. The passenger was also taken to Grant and a child was flown to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in serious condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
