Ross Health District Hosts COVID Preparation For School Extracurriculars

As fall school sports move forward, the Ross County Health District is looking to help students, athletic personnel and parents alike learn more about COVID-19 as it relates to sports and extracurricular activities.

The health district staff will host a live-streamed town hall, specifically geared toward coaches and parents, on Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30pm. It will be conduced on the Ross County Health District Facebook page.

"Non-contact" sports have been given the go-ahead by the governor to begin conducting contests. "Contact" sports, such as football and cross country, are still waiting for that guidance from the governor's office.

The OHSAA says it will adjust its game plan should health officials or Governor Mike DeWine issue any new directives.
