Dozens of people held signs and cheered support for area law enforcement officers in the "Back The Blue Rally" Sunday in front of the Ross County Courthouse in downtown Chillicothe.
Stacy and John Haney spear-headed the effort, which she says they also have done in their hometown of Athens, to let law enforcement personnel know they are appreciated by their communities.
Adults, teens and young children held signs and the American flag to help express their appreciation, which replaced handshakes and hugs in the COVID pandemic era.
