Circleville Council OK's Water Rates & Upgrades For Aging Water Plant

Circleville City Council met in regular session again last night as all eight ordinances up for first readings were passed.

Council approved an ordinance establishing water and sewer rates for users of the city's water works system, and approved upgrade requests to the city's forty-five year old water plant.

Council also approved of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with ODOT allowing them access to the city for resurfacing portions of US Route 22, State Route 188, and Route 56 within the city limits.

Finally, YMCA Director Jeff Phillips, started discussions with council on a combined YMCA/City partnership, discussing the possibility of bringing back a municipal swimming pool to the city with Barthelmas Park being a possible location.
