Local Glassblower Hosts First Annual Glass Pumpkin Patch In Southern Ohio

Pumpkin patches are getting a new, artsy twist in southern Ohio this month.

Jack Pine Studio, specializing in hand blown glass art, announced its first annual Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Patch. The outdoor art show slated for October 22 through 25.

The Hocking Hills studio will host the Glass Pumpkin Patch, which will feature local artists and vendors.

“We will have hundreds of one of a kind, blown glass pumpkins for sale arranged in front of the studio,” organizers said. “There will be many other fine craft vendors and artists selling their work as well. Everything from beautiful ceramic Asian plates, wooden handcrafted birdhouses, to unique metal outdoor sculptures, unique purses and bags, and wooden cutting boards. Jack Pine has curated and is featuring a collection of very fine craftsmen and craftswomen from the region and beyond.”

Food trucks will offer “a little slice of the Circleville Pumpkin Show.”

The four-day Glass Pumpkin Patch welcomes guests from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., for $5 per car. Guests can buy their parking ticket for their preferred day online, and will receive a voucher at the event for a discount on a glass pumpkin, according to the studio.

Because parking is limited, organizers “strongly” encourage making a reservation ahead of time.

Jack Pine Studio is at 21397 State Route 180 in Laurelville.
