Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says they have a record number of new COVID-19 cases.
As of Thursday, there are 2,178 cases. The Ohio Department of Health says five more people have died in connection to the virus. 108 individuals have been hospitalized within the last 24 hours.
Governor DeWine says there are 13 new "red" or "Level 3" counties, meaning very high exposure and spread of the coronavirus. There are a total of 29 red counties, which is 65% of Ohioans.
Ross, Fayette, Highland, Madison, Pike and Scioto counties remain in "red". Pickaway, Gallia, Jackson and Vinton are "orange".
