Adena Capitalizes On PV Turnovers in 64-41 Win

A 10-0 run to close the third quarter and 21 Paint Valley turnovers were key in the Adena Warriors 64-41 win over the Bearcats, Saturday in Frankfort. Adena had only 7 turnovers for the game.

Paint Valley was within one point three times in the third period (31-30, 34-33 and 36-35), when the Warriors finished the third period on their 10-0 run for a 46-35 lead and never saw their lead drop below double-digits the rest of the game.

Adena shot 28/53 from the field for 53%- including 5/17 from the arc and 3/6 from the foul line, while the Bearcats were 13/33- including 3/11 from the arc for 39% from the field. PV was able to stay close thanks to a 12/16 performance at the foul line. Paint Valley also outrebounded the Warriors 22-18.

The Warriors were led by Jarrett Garrison's 22 points and 7 rebounds. Logan Bennett added 19 points and Preston Sykes with 9.

Paint Valley's Cordell Grubb led the way with 20 points and Dax Estep had 12.

Adena improves to (5-1/10-2) while the Bearcats drop to (2-5/5-7).
