The Chillicothe City School District will hold its annual Kindergarten Registration March 22-26 at Chillicothe Primary School.
"This is different than last year," said Principal Joanna Strawser. "Due to COVID and the restrictions, we need for parents to make appointments and come in to register their child."

Strawser said parents may call 740.774.3307 to schedule an appointment to which parents must bring the following documents: child's birth certificate, child's Social Security Card, child's immunization records, parent's photo ID, two items for the parent's proof of residency, and the custody/divorce documents (if applicable).
According to Strawser, parents will fill out information during the appointment.
"While they're doing that, we will give the students a tour of the building," said Strawser. "We will also have some STEM activities going on for the students who are coming into our building as kindergarteners. We'll have some goodies to give away, take their picture, and make this an enjoyable appointment for the students and their parents."
Strawser said a draw to Chillicothe Primary School is its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program.
"I believe we are one of two in the state of Ohio to receive that designation, so all of our students -- kindergarten through second grade -- have STEM opportunities not just as classrooms by also as individuals," said Strawser.
Children 5 years old by August 1, 2021, are eligible to register for kindergarten at Chillicothe Primary School, which is located at 235 Cherry Street.
